A blank canvas, on purpose.
The Pure Canvas came from a request we kept hearing: bartenders who liked our Signature wanted a version with nothing in the way. No orange, no citrus, just the kava and a clean base to build on.
So we stripped it back. Noble kava root from the Pacific, filtered water, and the bare minimum needed to keep it shelf-stable. The result is earthy, plant-forward, and almost neutral, which is exactly what you want when you're mixing.
However you like to mix it.
The Pure Canvas was built for the mixer crowd. Most people use it as the base of a cocktail, but it works straight too.
With juice or syrup
One shot over ice, top with pineapple, mango, or whatever's in the fridge. A splash of lime works too. The Pure Canvas disappears into the mix and lets the flavor lead.
Build your own
Shake with ginger syrup, lime, and a pinch of salt for a kavatini. Or stir into coconut water with a squeeze of citrus. The neutral base means you can go wherever the recipe leads.
Straight, 44ml
Chilled, in one. The flavor is earthy and plant-forward, the way kava drinkers in the South Pacific have always had it. Chase with citrus if you want to soften the finish.
What you'll feel, and what you won't.
Onset is usually 15 to 30 minutes. Effects last around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the dose and whether you've eaten.
What You'll Feel
- A calm, social warmth that takes the edge off
- Loose muscles, lighter shoulders, a quieter mind
- Still sharp, still articulate, still you
- A gentle landing into sleep if you have it before bed
What You Won't
- No hangover, no morning fog
- No slurring, no sloppy decisions
- No addictive pull, no chasing the feeling
- No alcohol, no caffeine, no synthetic anything
What people are saying.
142 verified reviews. Average 4.8 stars. Below are a few we keep coming back to.
"I bartend at a craft place in Asheville and we've been running a kava-ginger-lime number with this for two months. Sells out every weekend. The neutral base is what made it work behind the bar."
"I wanted the kava without the citrus, and this is exactly that. I mix mine with coconut water and a little lime most nights. Feels like the closest thing to a real kava bar at home."
"Takes a minute to figure out what you like with it, since it's so neutral. Once I landed on pineapple and a dash of bitters, I was set. Glad they make an unflavored version, lets you actually customize."
The ones we get most.
Same noble kava root, same 300mg kavalactones per shot. The Signature is infused with orange, the Pure Canvas has no added flavor. If you want a bottle that tastes good straight, go Signature. If you want to mix, go Canvas.
Earthy, plant-forward, almost neutral. It's the actual character of noble kava root without anything covering it. If you've had traditional kava tea, it's recognizable. If you haven't, it's a flavor that makes more sense once you mix it with something.
Pineapple juice is the classic. Coconut water with lime is the lowest-effort move. Ginger syrup, lime, and a pinch of salt makes a kavatini. Most fruit juices work, and citrus tends to soften the finish more than anything else.
One 44ml shot is a standard serving and delivers 300mg of kavalactones. Most people find that's the sweet spot. You can take a second shot 60-90 minutes later if you want a longer evening, but more than that on the same night is not recommended.
The 750ml bottle holds about 17 shots. If you have one most evenings, that's roughly two weeks. Once opened, refrigerate and finish within 30 days for the best flavor.
Orders placed before 4PM EST ship the same day from Orlando, FL. Most US orders arrive in 2-5 business days. Free shipping on orders over $75.
